The number of categories is small, and their names are clear and straightforward. There are only four main categories in the H&M app store: All, Women, Men, and Accessories. When you click on the Women category, it has only four subcategories: Women’s Clothes, Women’s Accessories, Activities, and Gift Cards. You cannot get lost when categories are so obviously delineated.
Women’s Clothes subcategory is further subdivided into ten subcategories: Gifts for Her, Leggings, Coats & Jackets, Dresses, Hoodies & Sweatshirts, Pants, Shirts, Shorts, and Skirts, and Underwear. Importantly, the subcategory thumbnails offer an easy way to interpret the meaning of each subcategory.
Ten is the maximum number of subcategories in the H&M app. Accessories are subdivided into five additional subcategories, and Activities have six subcategories.
